Jerome Girard

Silviculture Superintendent, Tolko Industries

Jerome received his BSF in 1985 and his Diploma in Forestry (Advanced Silviculture) in 2002, both from UBC.  He has over 39 years of forestry experience on the coast and interior of BC. Previous employment has been in pest management with Phero Tech Inc and MacMillian Bloedel in both their Corporate Forestry and Woodlands Departments.

Jerome is presently employed by Tolko Industries Ltd in BC’s Southern Interior and has worked in timber development and lumber manufacturing.   For the last 25 years, Jerome has managed Tolko’s Silviculture Program.

Jerome is a member of the Provincial Interior Silviculture Subcommittee and the Thompson Okanagan Silviculture Working Group tackling enhanced and regional Stocking standards, drought mortality funding and making Balsam Great Again!
