I’m a fulltime faculty member in the Department of Natural Resource Science at Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops, BC). I’m one of the founding members of the Bachelor of Natural Resource Sciences (BNRS) degree program and have been teaching in the program since 1992. I’m a forest ecosystem ecologist (PhD in Forest Ecology from UBC – Faculty of Forestry & a BSc in Botany from UBC) and teach two courses in Forest Ecology & Silvics along with Silviculture, Introduction to Climate Change Science, and a course in Conflict Resolution in the Natural Resources. I’ve also co-taught a field course in Belize as well as conducting research in Borneo (Indonesia) and Nepal. I’m also a long-term standing executive member of the Southern Interior Silviculture Committee (SISCO).
