Presentation Abstract
For the past year, the Cheakamus Community Forest (the CCF) has embarked on a climate resilience planning framework. To this end, the CCF has collaborated with Frontera Forest Solutions and CRGL in developing a climate risk assessment and an operational strategy to institute this framework. This presentation will focus on the CCF’s climate risk assessment (https://cheakamuscommunityforest.com/news/climate-change-risk-assessment/); including the process and methods employed and ther risk assessment’s findings – including visualizations of the CCF’s wildfire threat and risk.
