Director, Modular BC
Gord Rattray is professional forester (RPF) by training and is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology with subsequent training at Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia and Edinburgh Business School. He was employed in the BC forest Industry from 1975 until 2003 working in divisional forestry and engineering. He concluded his time in the industry as General Manager of the Cariboo Lumber Manufacturers Association, head quartered in Williams Lake, BC.
In 2004, he established CGR Management with a focus on non-profit Association management. He manages numerous Societies with a current role as a Director of Modular BC. This organization was established in 2024 with a goal of developing standardized designs for modular multi-family, family friendly duplex, four-plex and six-plex style homes. The Province of BC’s Bill 44 was the catalyst for the creation of Modular BC. While all types of home construction systems are needed in BC, modular construction can provide rapid, environmentally sound and affordable homes across the province.
Gord lives with wife Jody in Maple Ridge and enjoys travelling as well as many other outdoor pursuits including golfing, fishing and flying.
