Silviculture Systems Researcher, Kootenay Boundary Region, Ministry of Forests
Trevor conducts silviculture research in the Kootenay Boundary Region and supports clients within government, First Nations, and industry. He is responsible for managing a range of long-term silviculture experiments that provide data and information that help to address new and emerging issues for resource management. He has been particularly focused on studying the impacts of partial harvesting on stand development, timber supply, wood value, carbon management, and wildfire risk. Trevor collaborates with the rest of the Kootenay Boundary research team to ensure his silviculture research incorporates ecological principles, forest health concerns, and hydrologic constraints into comprehensive guidance.
