SISCO has been hosting winter workshops and fall field tours for more than 50 years. For half-a-century forestry professionals have come together at our events to exchange ideas and information about silviculture and forest management.  Our Winter Workshops and Fall Field Tours help keep resource management professionals’ knowledge current and relevant, and our events are accredited as professional development.

The cost of holding our events has increased by ~50% since 2019. Sponsorship support means that we do not have to raise our registration fees to fully cover this increase. It means we can keep our registration fees affordable for the widest range of participants including small firms that send one or two people to our events, and for the many students that attend our events every year.

SISCO is volunteer-run; our executive collectively spends hundreds of hours annually to design and develop our events.  We respond to the suggestions for topics and speakers from you – our participants who contribute to and attend our events – in the creation of our program agendas.  SISCO is an integral part of your forestry community.

Sponsors are featured prominently on our Event Website, included in the participants’ conference booklet, and acknowledged live throughout the Winter Workshop, at the podium.
